Videos promote private school

Legacy Christian School is a private school that was expanding their K-8
grade school to include a new high school. We produced two videos for
them. The first video is entitled "Difference Maker" and it promoted the
high school. Leading up to scripting, shooting and producing the
videos, we took steps to make sure we were making a connection with
their primary target market: parents of children who were considering a
school change. We had done research with parents of students who had
sent their children to private Christian schools. We asked specifically
what it was that helped them make this decision. We also met with the
board of LCS to work through their strengths as a school. Then we
compared the data we gathered. The biggest factor we found was that
parents were looking for influential teachers who shared their values
and were allowed to engage with their children. We produced the
"Difference Maker" video with that in mind.
The second video was produced to promote the elementary school. We again
found that parents were looking for a school that helped their children
make a connection between learning and their faith. They were looking
for teachers who would nurture their children in the classroom with an
emphasis on loving their children, developing a style of learning that
achieved high academic standards and incorporated Christian beliefs. We
produced the "Get the Connection" video to support these ideas.
The response to the videos was very good. They were both promoted on the
school's Facebook account (18,000 views during enrollment period) and
on their web site (increasing site traffic 64%.) They made an emotional
connection to the target market and were effective in getting the word
out about the school.
